You have probably figured out what was going to happen here. I'm leaving, not because I want to but because I have to. I barely have time to sleep, so it's getting way too hard to upload the blog, which, I have to admit, was slowly dying. Anyways, I think the time I spent in here was really worth it and I'm pretty happy with the result. I'm not completely off the blogosphere, I actually check your blogs every now and then, but it's just not working for me.

They say Spring is here and I guess they're right. We don't have sun everyday but the temperature is always above 16ºC which is really, really nice. And the best part is when I leave my classes at 7 or 8 p.m. and it isn't dark yet. Feels soooo good.

I finally saw The Black Swan...I honestly was expecting something more from the movie. Well, maybe it's because I saw it on my computer while I should have seen it at the cinema. I liked it, don't get me wrong, but with all the fuzz around it I made some really high expectations. Plus, I saw it in the afternoon because I thought it would be too scary...I know I'm kinda chicken when it comes to thriller or horror movies (honestly, the first time I saw the Nightmare on Elm Street trailer, yes the trailer, I thought I was seeing Freddy Krueger in every dark corner of my room for like a whole month) but I was not thaaaaaaat scared. Anyways, I totally agree with the Oscar Academy, she couldn't have been more perfect.

Today is my 22nd birthday, and I don't feel any older. But I miss those parties from when I was younger, with all my friends, the hats and the balloons. Good days...

I've bought this cardigan last year on sales, but only now it became my favourite piece, because it actually has a collar that I hate but I changed it and now I love it. It's really cozy and perfect for these colder days.

I've always been tall. And I'm fine with it but sometimes wearing heels is not that funny. Besides the staring, it's not that good when you hit your head against something that other people don't. And sometimes I feel that I'm weatching the world from above, because most of the people are just smaller than me, because I'm 1,76m, so when I'm wearing heels I'm like 1,86m, and I have to tell you, it's not that usual to see a girl this height. Anyways, I hope that besides my height I still have an elegant walk (instead of a clumsy one) =P

And what about you? Do you have any kind of, lets say, "issues" with your height?

...I'm back. I gotta tell you, I never thought I'd have so much work. But now I'm back, inspired and ready to post again.

Random stuff...

I ate sushi for the first time of my life. I know what most of you are probably thinking...*drool*...hummmmmm.....not me. And lets not even talk about the "butter fish"...

I'm getting tired of Primark and its poor quality. No, thank you, I won't spend my precious money on something that is already ruined in the store. Yes, I loooooooooove to buy a pair of boots and glue one of them the next day. And see a brand new pair of jeans turning 20 years older just after the first wash is just what I had in mind!

But , it's incredible affordable so I'll probably keep buying stuff.

The cold weather is driving me crazy. All I want to do is to sit on a couch with a blanket on my knees...pretty like my grandma. But it feels soooooo good.

Yeay....it's happen. I'm actually updating my blog on a daily basis =P Hurray! So today I'm sharing with you my winter must haves (that I'm trying desperately to find with no luck at all).

1. Beautiful and original sweaters. It's not that easy to find sweaters like this at a reasonable price. I really need to go deep in my favourite shops because I have to find them. They're just perfect for Aveiro's weather.

2. "The" wedges. I've been searching and searching for the perfect wedges but it seems that I simply can't find them. I've tried a beautiful ones from Primark but I gotta tell you, I looked like a freakin' giant. Plus, it'd be great if they're comfortable, and we all know that high kneels and comfortable walking is incredibly difficult to match.

3. Green military trousers. I'm not a big fan of colour trousers whatsoever, but this one is growing on me. Plus, I do have lots of dark pieces and match it together would be one of my favourite outfits, I'm sure.

4. Loose shirts. Just love them.

5. Skirts. I do have a lack of skirts. But since I don't wear them that much I think it'd be wiser if I just waited for the sales season.

And what are your thoughts about Winter Must Haves?

So, the weather is getting colder and it's a great time to wear knee high socks. I already bought some pairs but this ones are really far from being knee high which it's a pity since I find them really cute. It' doesn't help to be more than 1.70 tall. 21 ºC?! Seriously???? In November?! Ok. This weather is seriously driving me crazy, not to mention the enormously amount of people who has a cold derived from this temperature changes...me included. And I don't know what to wear because my classes usually start at 2 p.m. and I get out at around 8 p.m., when it's really and I mean really cold. Yes, it's nice to have warm days like these but it's weird to see the Christmas lights in the streets with people in summer dresses. Damn you global warming.

Thadan! My new looks. I have to admit that I was a little afraid to end up with a mushroom style (très sexy) but it came out exactly the way I wanted. I looooved my bangs but my hair is naturally curly and in the winter there's absolutely no way to defeat humidity. And because I didn't want to end up like this:

Hi there. So I came back from London a few days ago and it was amazing. Loved it all, except the weather =P And I finally had the chance to go to Primark and I was completely amazed. The prices were unbelievable but I couldn't buy everything I wanted otherwise I would have problems at the airport lol. If I knew it was so worthy I'd have visited it a long time ago, yep.

And I didn't win the contest but at least I was among the top ten. Not bad.

Seriously, this hot weave is killing me. I can't even think about wearing some trousers because this weather is insane....which means pool, pool and more pool. With my books behind of course. Anyway it seems that it won't take much longer.

Almost.....almost on vacations. Well my last exam is in 2 weeks but I'm taking it easy. Today I did some window shopping but I came back home empty handed. Which is kinda unusual since sales season has already started but I didn't see anything that caught my eye long enough to make me open my wallet. Plus the queue was big enough to make everyone drop the things they're holding.

Today I felt like sharing my thought about some tv shows I've been following. And I begin obviously with GLEE. I perfectly know that season 1 has already ended but hey, it's me, the one who begins with no curiosity about the current tv shows but always ends watching all episodes in a row. And as I was saying, GLEE was a great surprise. I always thought that it would be like some kind of High School Musical but with "unpopular" students but it's waaaaaaay better. It's really really cute. That kind of series that cheers you up whe you're down.

About the "new" season of Gossip Girl...well, that's not much to be said. What a huge disappointement. Let's move on.

I bet that you all have seen 10 Things I hate about You....probably not once a day like some girls (and for girls I mean me!) that dreamt about being a badass like Kat and get the even badder ass Patrick Verona (oh yes!). A few months ago I found out that ABC started a tv show about the movie. Of course that it doesn't have any of the original actors, besides Kat's father, and the story is obviously quite diferent but it's cute anyway. I still don't know when they'll release the next season but I hope it will happen soon.

...and I started watching The Vampire Diaries. The story it's interesting but right now I'm a bit tired of vampire stories. Seems that everyone is trying to get an advantage from the Twilight success.

Saw Alice in Wonderland the other day...in 3D btw. The characters were awesome, the visual effects too, but the story not so much...well, at least the last part of the movie. A monster? Really? Ooooook. But despite this tiny fact I really enjoy it and I think Tim Burton did a great work (though I think it doesn't justify the 3D animation). Have you seen it yet?

After searching and searching and searching for the perfect bow necklace I came to the conclusion that my search was completely hopeless. I wasn't asking for much, I just wanted a simple bow in a simple chain. Some were too big, some were too ridiculous with an endless amount of "diamonds", some were just ugly, some were too small.....well, you know the deal.

I think you all know that saying "If you want a thing done well, do it yourself". And that's exactly what I did. I found a black bow in my house (I have absolutely no idea where it came from) and the perfect chain among my sister's stuff and voilá!

It was completely free and just the way I wanted it.

And after this sucessed DIY project I'm aiming for more. So if you know about some DIY project or if you've already done some please tell me.

Top as a skirt...

...exactly. I bought recently 3 tops on 3 different colors and because their straps are removable and the material is really elastic I thought about use them as skirts. Among my mum's stuff I could find 2 belts that match with the tops but I still have to find another one but I'll use it the same way I'm showing here. I prefer wear them as a skirt because their kinda long but they look cute without their straps...I'll try to show you later. Anyway, they're perfect for this hot weather because we all know how difficult can be wearing anything remotably fashion with this kind of weather.

Finally back part 2 + Outfit

Ok, this internet connection is driving me crazy. I can only open 2 blogs at the same time, otherwise it will take several minutes to open one of them, so you can see why it is taking so much time for me to comment or even check your blogs.

So as I promised here it is the second part of my vacations. I didn't take lanscape photos so you'll only see people overhere. Plus, I didn't choose a great number of photos to show because they're too many and right now I'm really lazy.

My light pink backpack was our salvation bacause among so many people it was really hard to find our spot. It seems it is really small but believe me, we could see it at a reasonable distance.

Here we can see the nice man from the karaoke bar...I think I've never saw him without his hat.

This is us singing Hot n' Cold. Not the best voices in the world but well, it was fun and that's only what matter.

It is still really hot in here (go Nelly...) and 've got a cold so my pool days are suspended by now, which is awful since the Summer is almost in the end, but well, I hope I get better really soon. And I must admit that going to a disco in a foam night isn't the best option to who wants to cure a cold. Ok it was fun but I almost suffocated in there and I can assure you that breathing/eating foam is not the best thing to do, but hey, I was desperate.

And after days and days searching for the perfect black bag I found it (almost by accident)! I tried in every shop I use to go such Bershka, H&M, Stradivarius....and my mission was a total failure. But one day, I entered in a random chinese shop and there it was, beautifully exposed...and for 10€ I didn't have to think twice about it.

Finally back part 1

I'm finally back. I not only spent 7 days in Algarve but I also spent another 4 in Lisbon. The weather couldn't be better so I think I was lucky in that point. But I'm really really tired of travelling...bus, more bus, train, train again, bus again...but it was really reaaaaaally fun!

Today the weather is incredibly awful so I've got nothing to show you today about fashion. But there's some pictures from Lisbon that I can show you. Algarve photos will come later because the other girls haven't sent me any. The quality isn't the best but well, we'll live. Now, I'll try to check out everything that I missed these 15 days. Wish me luck ;)

Hello to you all. I have been quite absent and I said I'd try to update on a regular basis but it's harder than I initially thought. Anyway, the next days I'll be completely off since I'm going to Algarve (which means beach, party, beach beach beach, party party party!!!) tomorrow. But it'll only be like 7 days or so. And then I'll back with tons of news and (I hope!) a bunch of photos. So see you in a week!

Hello everyone. My internet connection is really slow so I've been quite absent these past days. My daily routine has been resumed to this - studying, pool and nights with friends. I've had a really great time though the exams shadow hasn't ended yet. But hey, it's Summer time and we have to enjoy it while it lasts.

I miss a good evening spent at the cinema. But besides the lack of interesting movies, I've been saving for my vacations so I decided that the only movie I'm gonna see is Harry Potter. I've been waiting for it for too long and it would be a pitty if I couldn't see it with all the environment that only the cinemas can provide you. Meanwhile I'll continuing searching on YouTube for forgotten movies of my teen life (or treasures of the 80's)...but if you have some suggestions I'd be so pleased to "hear" them.

They say it's summer but seriously, the sky is being so cloudy that it's hard to think it's actually summer. Yes, I do have to stay at home studying and all that stuff but I could do it in my balcony, where the sun could burn my skin. I guess the weather is trying to make my days more boring than they already are (try to spend a few days studying Ecology and you'll understand my pain).

So, a few days ago I bought a pair os sandals on Blanco. They're cheap and I thought "Why not?". A couple of days later while I was doing some window shopping I totally froze in front of Blanco for several minutes. 50% sales in the whole store. Yep...

Oh and I found the cutiest song ever. (I totally recommend you to turn the volume down)

So tonight I'm going to a concert with some friends. It's a portuguese band so you probably haven't heard about them, but they're pretty cool so if you want to know them search for GNR on youtube. It's a pleasant break from all the study and this couldn't come in a better time.

Here I present you this super lazy outfit. The reason: I've been stucked at home so I'm not quite in the dress up mood.
(I fell in love with those havaianas the very first moment I saw them. They're so comfortable and we can wear them with almost all kind of outfits. So they're perfect for me. =)

Friday I'm in love

Seriously, I think there's nothing more boring than Ecology. It's a huge sacrifice to not skip that class. And sometimes, when the teacher thinks it's a good idea to turn the lights off so we can see what's being projected, I almost fall asleep. This is what I have to do in order to stop my impulses.

I've got a thing about hairs. Seriously. It's almost impossible for me not to notice people's hair everywhere I go. Sometimes it's really annoying but I just can't help it. Anyway I don't know what to do with mine so I guess I'll just let it grow. And then, maybe a fringe. But it grows sooooooooooo slow. Even for a patient person like me. Any advice? I would be sooo appreciatted.

I got this dress from my mother. It's really old and she said she wouldn't use it anymore so I thought it would be terrible if I just ignore it. I needed to adjust it to my size but now it's perfect and I can't wait to wear it in the Summer.

Yesterday I found one pair of jeans in the back of my closet. Since I'm not gonna wear them anymore I cut them to make a pair of shorts. And that's me again recycling my clothes. Hurray!

I know, I know...I've been a little absent these past days. Well let's just say that returning to my daily routine isn't that easy. Plus yesterday I spent almost 10 hours in the uni, so it was kinda hard for me to update the blog. Oh and at night, my sister and I decided to watch some movie to relax a bit, and since we didn't have anything better to watch we picked The Incredible Hulk. Ermmm I have no words for it. Well I'll try to explain you why. Edward Norton is a great actor but I cannot possibly look at him as Bruce Banner; the Hulk was soooo digitalized that made me laugh so hard when I first saw him; Ed speaks Portuguese sooo badly (shame on you Eddie); and the worst part is since we cannot possibly live with only one monster, they decided to add another one (imagine a son between Godzilla and the Alien from Alien vs Predator...hot hot!) to fight with him! Tsk tsk...

Anyway, this is one of the outfits I use for the rainy days that came for a visit (yes the quality of the photos is far for being good). Crazy, crazy week. On Monday I was already tired (great start indeed) so you can have an idea of my extremely busy week. But the weekend is almost here and then I'll have some time to relax.....before another exhausting week. Yeah!

It's been a while since I visited E-Bay. And yesterday I won.......another dress *surprise*! I guess the price is...well....reasonable, 6.98 £, though the dress itself was only 2.95£ (damn you shipping cost!). I really think it's just gorgeous but I'm a little worried about the size. It's a vintage 12 but those kind of dresses have a loose style, so I guess it'll fit. Anyway, as soon as it arrives I'll try to post it in here.

I've never wore my wedges at the university because I thought I'd feel a bit uncomfortable since the girls are smaller than me and the the boys are only a little bigger than me, but well I tried it today and guess what, I felt super natural with 1.86 cm and I totally forgot about it. Since I realized that Brooke Shields has 1.83 cm and still, wears heels that I thought "If she can do that, I can do it too!". But I only wore them because I only have classes in the morning 'cause even they're comfortable in their own way, well, my feet hurt!

(Ok, they don't look that high but still they give me a 10 cm extra)

Ohhh the heat wave is dissapearing as days go by. And then the rain, the wind and the cold weather will be back again. Well, that's life. So I watched "bla bla bla Benjamin Button" a few days ago. Ermmm, not quite what I was expecting 'cause it was really different from the idea I had of it. But well, sometimes it made me laugh and guess it's ok.

Newsflash! I didn't have to kill a mouse! Weee. Quite simple explanation: I drop out of that class. It wasn't what I expected and since it was optional I chose another one though it's not that interesting.

So, I'm already enjoying my weekend and it feels sooooo good mostly because next week will be quite busy (among my scheduled things I've got to kill - the fancy word is "sacrify" - a mouse for my immunology class and I haven't made my mind yet. urgh). The tunic came with a ribbon but I prefer it in a loose way. You already know the boots and I discovered the earring in my basement so I have no idea where my mum bought them or how old are they. Hi there. I know, I know...shame on me for taking so much time posting new things. I wasn't in town for 3 days so it was kinda hard for me to access my blog. Plus, the sun and warm weather came for a visit so I had to enjoy it.
I was thinking about recycling my clothes and it's harder than I was expecting. Mostly because I wish I could look at one piece and imediately see all the outfits I could do with it. But I guess it's not a bad thing. It's better when I'm on my bus and suddenly *tcharan* a new outfit comes up on my mind.

Oh happy day

Hello, hello. I'm now back in business. And here are some news: my new lens has arrived and I can't wait to try it; aaaaaaand *drum roll* one of my photos was published in a portuguese magazine. Hurray! I never thought this would happen to me. We always think "Hey. This stuff only happens to other people." And I'm sooooo happy. I think you can imagine.

You can see my photo in the magazine. I took it about 1 year ago and the model was my sister. Inspired, of course, by Amy Winehouse.

I think I'm getting used to this great weather. The sun shines all day long and I even noticed that days are getting bigger. As I said some posts agor, I'm trying to find light dresses for the Summer and so far I was seriously lucky. But I can't show you them right know 'cause then I wouldn't have anything to show in the Summer. So you'll need to have patience.

So today I wanted to keep it simple.

Today, I woke up for a very sunny day. It was, without a doubt, one of the best birthday presents today. Yes, I'm 20 now. Uhuh

Hello there.
Well, just a quick update. I bought a new lens on E-Bay, a great one, actually (it usually costs around 350€ and I got it by 34€). But it's for my analog camera, which means I can't use it that much but it will be perfect for my next photo session 'cause I believe it'll realize my ideas and I'm looking forward to it!
My other dress that I won (also on E-Bay) has just arrived but I don't have pictures yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll post it here. Plus, my birthday is in 2 days and for the first time in many many many weeks I'll enjoy the best things the night has to offer. Hurray!

I was watching some blogs and I was glad to see that most people actually recycle their clothes. It's so simple but some people find buying new clothes much more easier. Well, I won't critizise them 'cause that's not my business but sometimes a simple piece completely change when we combined it with difterent looks. So that's why I hardly throw my clothes away, even if I don't like it now I never know if I'll fall for it again. People tend to be really hasty in this issue.
Well, I've got to go back to my study. It's becoming harder and harder to concentrate myself in it, since they're all done but I wasn't glad with my final marks so I'm going to repeat some of them. And it.....well, sucks.

So, my exams are over but I still have to repeat some of them which means I can't have my vacations yet. Whatever. The weather still sucks so being at home with a warm blanket and a cup of camomile tea isn't the worst idea of all.
I have to start thinking about my next photo session. I've got some ideas but I need to work them a bit. Plus, I'm thinking about buying a camera on e-bay. I'm just trying to find the perfect one. Not digital, which means I have to start saving money for films and related stuff. But hey, the results are way better than working with a digital one. I'm leaving you now.

Hello.
So, how was your weekend? I spend it at home, studying and studying and (surprise!) studying. At least, it's an interesting theme. 7 am Woke up and I was waiting to hear some storm noise outside. No noise. Strange...what?! I could see the sun in the horizon! (hurray! this day started pretty fine)

9.30 am Genetics exam. Well I was prepared for a big disaster but it was easier than I thought it would be, though it wasn't enough for stopping me from leaving some questions undone since I don't have enough power to read my teachers mind

1.15 pm Lunch time

3.30 pm Shopping time. I had a very exciting time buying potatoes, milk and bread '-_-

I've been very busy this past days, mostly because of my exams (though I took one day off to check out some sales). I can't wait to see all of my exams done, and I still have 2 to worry about. I hate to see my life totally freezed in this times and it makes me wanting for classes where I can be with other people. Gosh, this is extremely boring being stuck at home everyday, thinking that I will absolutely fail my exams or that my study won't be rewarded by my result on the exam. Really frustrating. Anyway, since I don't have time for photos (again) I'll post here some warm outfits for these cold days.

Hi there beautiful people.
So my study is going just fine and I decided that tomorrow will be my day. I'll try to take some photos (I found the perfect place!) and my domestic responsibilities are all done so I'm totally free...I guess. And, of course, I have some movies that I totally have to watch. Cassandra's Dream and Before the devil knows you're Dead are my top priorities but it'll depend on my mood.
So can you tell me which movie has the special power to make you cry everytime you watch it?

I thought it would be nice if I share with you some random facts about myself so here it goes:
* I'm 19 (24 days till I turn 20, actually...)
* I study Biology at Oporto University
* I love romance but I do not consider myself a romantic person (weird I know)

I've been a little busy these past days with all the studying and stuff. I still have 3 more exams to do and I totally have to pass them all. My classes won't start until March and I kinda miss the routine. Spending my days stuck at home isn't at all the best way to seize the days, though it's necessary.
I'll try to carry my camera more often. Though it's a little hard for me since it's away from being little and light. But still I'll try. People say tomorrow will be a sunny day. Well, if it's true, I'll try to enjoy it. A combination between shopping and studying seems pretty reasonable, and that's how I intend to spend the day.

I promised myself that I only would post again when I have my own photos. But I really had to get my head off from all my study. Plant Anatomy isn't as interesting as I try to believe. But well, I can't escape from the exam, can I?
Anyway, I can't do anything else besides studying so my free time is reduced to something near zero which means that I can only think about outfits before I fall asleep, though it's easier to make a photo session with formed ideas than to think about the subject when you're about to pick your camera, so I think half of the work is already done.

And yes, a really hot chocolate (with a bit of cinnamon for me please!) is the best thing we could have for this freezing days.
